- offer a range of experience across the housing and urban development sector.
The role of the Group
The role of the Group is to work with the Minister for Housing and Urban Development and their officials to help:
- inform policy development, and
- communicate with, and update stakeholders on a range of urban and housing issues.
Members of the Group
The members of the Group are as follows.
Chair: Teena Hale Pennington, has extensive experience working with infrastructure development and in environmental and organisational management. She is Chief Executive Officer of the New Zealand Institute of Architects and Deputy Chair of the New Zealand Construction Industry Council.
Shamubeel Eaqub is an economist, commentator and academic.
Rau Hoskins is a housing researcher who is experienced in Māori housing, architecture and design.
David Kelly is Chief Executive Officer of Registered Master Builders.
Andrew King is Executive Officer of the New Zealand Property Investors’ Federation.
Roine Lealaiauloto is Chief Executive of Penina Health Trust, and brings a Pacific peoples focus.
Angela Maynard is Coordinator of the Tenants Protection Association (Auckland).
Mark Todd is a property developer and co-founder and Managing Director of Ockham Residential and the Ockham Foundation.
Scott Figenshow is Chief Executive of Community Housing Aotearoa.
