Queenstown-Lakes Housing Accord
The Queenstown-Lakes Housing Accord was signed in July 2017 and superseded the previous Housing Accord entered into in October 2014.
About the Accord
The Housing Accord and Special Housing Areas legislation enabled the streamlining of new housing developments, and allowed special housing areas to be designated under accords between the Government and Council.
The Queenstown-Lakes Housing Accord was intended to increase land supply for housing, and therefore improve the affordability of homes in Queenstown-Lakes.
