The McLennan Development in Papakura is offering 5 more KiwiBuild homes to pre-qualified eligible KiwiBuild buyers. Located in a friendly new community, these architecturally designed 4-bedroom 2-storey standalone homes are priced at $649,000. The houses come with the following features:

Mason Square, Ōtāhuhu

Ten KiwiBuild apartments in the Mason Square development in Ōtāhuhu are now available to eligible KiwiBuild buyers. Located at 20 Mason Ave, the two-bedroom ready apartments range from 64.9 square metres to 74.9 square metres inclusive of a deck area. Each apartment has a carpark.

Ōtāhuhu is one of Auckland’s oldest suburbs positioned at the crossroads to Central and South Auckland. The apartments are close to shopping, dining and leisure facilities, with excellent links to train and bus networks with the city centre just 30 minutes away. The apartment complex is positioned to enjoy sun, and view of green space around the historic Holy Trinity Church.

Priced between $580,000 and $600,000 the homes include an oven, cooktop, dishwasher, washer/dryer combo as well as floor coverings and LED downlights. A further nine dwellings are under construction at Mason Ave and scheduled for completion by June 2019.

Lakeside, Te Kauwhata

The first 10 KiwiBuild homes to be balloted at the Lakeside development in Te Kauwhata, Waikato, are two-bedroom modern standalone homes, all fully landscaped with off-street parking and a home appliance package. They are priced at $480,000 each.

Initial works are already underway and construction of these 10 KiwiBuild homes will be completed by Christmas 2019. There will be 175 KiwiBuild homes in this development which is a master-planned community nestled on the banks of Lake Waikare, less than a kilometre from the Te Kauwhata town centre and its schools and other facilities.

It will comprise 1,600 homes, including the 175 KiwiBuild homes, and its own village centre, which will have a range of amenities for relaxed family living. As part of the development, over 5km of walking and cycling trails are being created, giving public access to the banks of Lake Waikare for the first time. A large recreational lake is also being created to the east of the development.

New North Road, Mt Albert

Located on the corner of Soljak Place and New North Road in Mt Albert, the Tuatahi development is a partnership between Ockham Residential and Marutūāhu Iwi. Close to shopping, dining and leisure facilities, it has excellent nearby links to bus and train networks. The Waterview Shared Path also passes right by Tuatahi and will link up to the North-Western Cycleway for easy cycling to Unitec and into the city.

Apartments in the Tuatahi development feature double-glazing and a heat pump, LED lighting, as well as a high-specification kitchen and bathroom fit-out, plus balconies with solid timber decking. The apartment complex includes a communal garden and courtyard along with a 20m outdoor swimming pool.

Northlake, Wanaka

Ten modern, beautiful homes currently under construction in the Northlake development just outside Wanaka. The properties are fully landscaped and designed to reflect the natural beauty of the Queenstown Lakes District, complete with off-street parking and a Fisher & Paykel home appliance package. These two and three bedroom homes offer quality living in a highly-desirable location.

The Northlake development is a master-planned community which will comprise more than 800 properties, including the 211 KiwiBuild homes. The Northlake development is just a few minutes’ drive from Wanaka and has its own village centre, shops, playground, childcare and healthcare centres, dining options and small business office space.

Ballots are closed 

Construction has started on the architecturally-designed apartments which are due for completion by August next year.

They will:

  • be built to high specifications to minimise ongoing maintenance costs and to maximise the living space
  • have high quality fittings included in the price such as blinds, washer/dryers and dishwashers, which are often a hidden cost for first home buyers.

The @340 Onehunga development is a 6 minute walk from Onehunga train station and on a main bus route with connections to the Central Business District and Auckland Airport.

There are a range of amenities nearby including cafes, shopping, Cornwall Park and the new foreshore at Onehunga Bay.

The @340 Onehunga properties available to eligible, pre-qualified buyers are:

McLennan development at Papakura

Ballots are closed

On 28 April 2018 the Government announced the first KiwiBuild homes under construction at the McLennan development in Papakura, Auckland.

Thirty KiwiBuild homes are being built at McLennan. Eighteen homes are expected to be completed by the end of August 2018, with the remainder completed by the end of 2018.

The KiwiBuild homes being built at McLennan are standalone dwellings, with an expected price of:

  • $499,000 for a 2-bedroom home
  • $579,000 for a 3-bedroom home, and
  • $649,000 for a 4-bedroom home.

The McLennan development is a 24-hectare site which is being transformed into a new community of around 600 homes. The site is former Defence Force land, now owned by Housing New Zealand.

Identifying and leveraging opportunities to procure KiwiBuild homes through existing Government-led housing initiatives, (such as the McLennan development being undertaken by Housing New Zealand), is one of 4 channels for delivering KiwiBuild homes.
