Copies of all drafts of the most recent Homelessness Insights Report that was provided to Associate Housing Minister Tama Potaka in June 2025, including any earlier versions and tracked changes, prepared prior to the final version being presented to the Minister.

Copies of any correspondence (emails, memos, briefings, meeting notes, Teams/Slack messages or similar) between officials and staff within HUD, HUD and the Office of the Associate Minister of Housing (Tama Potaka), HUD and the Minister of Housing or the Prime Minister’s Office, concerning the preparation, review, revision, or release of the report.

Copies of any feedback, comments, suggested edits or directions from Minister Tama Potaka or his office (or any other ministerial office) regarding the content, framing, timing, or public release of the report.

Copies of records of any internal discussions or meetings within HUD that refer to ministerial input, concern, or influence over the contents or tone of the report.

Copies of any communications or documents discussing potential public or political sensitivity of the report and its implications, including whether it should be withheld or delayed from public release.

Copies of any documents or analysis prepared by HUD staff or contractors assessing the impact of the August 2024 emergency housing criteria changes on homelessness trends, and whether the report establishes or refutes a causal link between these policy changes and observed increases in homelessness.

Copies of all correspondence between HUD and frontline homelessness service providers (such as The People’s Project, Downtown Community Ministry, and Housing First Auckland Collective), relating to any data, insights, or feedback that informed or was excluded from the final report.
