Rangahau – The Research

We acknowledge the mātauranga Māori of iwi, hapū and whānau and all that they travel with on their pathway. The rich resources of whakapapa, historical and contemporary knowledge, and kōrero tuku iho are taonga. We respect them as an essential part of understanding Māori housing needs and aspirations.
Research will be submitted to the Waitangi Tribunal by the Crown, Claimants and Waitangi Tribunal researchers for the Inquiry.
The Waitangi Tribunal will produce reports and recommendations for each stage of the Inquiry. The Crown and claimants will also submit research as part of their evidence to show how policies and services are developed and evaluated, and the impact this has on whānau.
