Seven local initiatives have received $4.096 million in funding under the Aotearoa/ New Zealand Homelessness Action Plan to address homelessness in their area.

The Local Innovation and Partnership Fund builds on the knowledge, strengths and connections of local organisations. It supports partnership that respond to local causes and drivers of homelessness.

The first round of the Fund focused on initiatives targeting Māori, Pacific Peoples, women, rangatahi/young people, migrants and refugees, older people, the rainbow community, and disabled people.

Round two of the Local Innovation and Partnership Fund is expected to open in mid-2021.
