Te Tūāpapa Kura Kāinga – Ministry of Housing and Urban Development farewells acting Chief Executive Brad Ward today.

One of the original members of staff when Te Tūāpapa Kura Kāinga was established in October 2018, Brad has held various Deputy Chief Executive roles in the organisation.

Brad has overseen important changes to the housing and urban development system in that time, and his influence can be seen in many areas of our work from the last seven years. He stepped into the acting Chief Executive role in December 2024 following the departure of Andrew Crisp.

Brad is leaving Te Tūāpapa Kura Kāinga to take up the role of acting Chief Executive of the Ministry of Transport – Te Manatū Waka. He is replaced by Adrienne Meikle, who starts as acting Chief Executive on 20 January 2026.
